SSHC December 2002 News Letter

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the SSHC Internet News Update. In this space we will communicate news, technical, installation, and design information updates. Of course, the web site will continually be updated to reflect the latest product information, while this space will focus more on product applications, energy market updates, and tips to help compare ENERJOY to conventional heating alternatives.

To many people, the Internet is the easy way to find out about products they know must exist, but cannot be found in conventional distribution channels. Frustrated after asking all of their usual sources of information about electric heating options, they turn to libraries, key word searches, and friends. And, the usual motivation is dissatisfaction with their present heating system: too cold, too dusty, too expensive, too much maintenance, etc.

If you are in this category of people looking for better heating, here are the standard features you will experience with ENERJOY: No dust, No noise, No odor, No maintenance, No moving parts to break or wear out, No compromise of floor space use, No utility room required, No fuel hookups, No fuel tanks, No danger of explosion, No carbon monoxide danger, No drying of air, No heating of space before people, No wasting of energy due to single central system control: just warm radiant comfort!

If these standard features match your list of heating system requirements, you will enjoy your journey through the sshcinc.com Table of Contents. For residential and light commercial specifications, scroll to ENERJOY I and click on Submittal Data, for applications where steel panels are required, scroll to ENERJOY II, and click on Submittal Data. For U S Department of Energy/National Association of Homebuilders ENERJOY Case Study, see enerjoy.com Third Party References. To see product installations, scroll to ENERJOY Installation Photos. To see the control options, continue to scroll in the sshcinc.com Table of Contents to Thermostats.

In addition to presentation of the fundamental heat transfer calculations, with examples, the Handbook has copious illustrations, photographs, and an extensive Annotated Bibliography of articles, presentations, and research, as well as a listing of Who’s Who in the radiant industry, courtesy of the Radiant Panel Association. The Handbook, which has the information most sought by architects, engineers, designers, and contractors, is available in technical bookstores, on line, from ASHRAE (Atlanta), and SSHC.
